How was 2007?

Michael, how did you see God working in 2007?
God continued to answer prayers. There were baptisms, including the baptisms of 7 middle schoolers on one Sunday at Kurume Christ Church, baptisms at mission posts (including Mr. and Mrs. Shimizu), and the baptism of Yuga Takizawa, Kim’s Sunday school student. Our mission post at Hitachinaka took a big step toward becoming independent. CAJ students continued applying a biblical perspective.
Kim, what did you and Michael work on in 2007?
At CAJ, I taught 10th graders about world literature, participated in the English Department’s monthly discussions of how to increase student reading skills, coached middle school girls’ volleyball, and facilitated leadership training for 10th graders.
Michael served on CAJ’s Curriculum Team, developed teacher training materials, traveled to 4 countries to provide teacher training regarding biblical perspective, and provided consulting, coaching, and coach training for CAJ administrators and missionaries.
What has God been teaching you?
Kim: To be grateful for daily blessings—sunshine, food, and conversations with Caitlin, Anneke, and Michael.
Michael: To be faithful—when there’s progress and when there’s not. To encourage others (Romans 12:8).
